1401: 15 Kirkibost

No.15 Kirkibost, which is dissected by the road to Rubha Ghlais, is situated between the sea and Nos 14 and 16. The first tenant after resettlement was Kenneth Macdonald, "Coinneach Iain Dhomhnaill Choinnich". It came to his daughter-in-law, Margaret Smith, and her brother who never lived there and was sold 3 times, finally to the people who now live there who are connected with No.2 Kirkibost. The present barn was the original house. The ruins of an old church and several buildings are visible. This was also the site of ‘clustered houses’ as on No.1 when the agricultural system was runrig.
