The first tenant of this croft may have been John Macdonald possibly the father of Murdo at 3 Old Lemreway. John Macdonald was married to Isabella Maciver and on Murdo’s death registration his mother was a Macrae.

The croft was later divided between brothers, Duncan Macmillan 4a and John 4b.
