The first tenant of this croft was Donald Macaulay (1817-) from Garyvard. The family subsequently emigrated to Canada and Duncan Macaskill from Isle of Taransay took over the tenancy. The family of Duncan Mackenzie moved to this croft from Crossbost in the 1860s and latterly, Robert Macrae moved from 8 Habost to 7 Habost.
