Murdo Macdonald and Murdina Maciver were the first occupants of 28a North Tolsta, which was feued off from 28 North Tolsta. In due course the house passed to their son Donald.

Donald Macdonald married Mary Isabel Bronlund and the couple had five children at 28a North Tolsta.
