10885: 11 Garyvard
This croft was created possibly at the time of the second lotting about 1850. It was created from part of Croft No 1, tenanted by John Macleod who was a soldier and who were generally given larger crofts as a reward for their military service
Alexander Macleod (Alasdair Choinnich) was the tenant of 11 Garyvard in the late 1800s; it passed to his son John, then to John’s daughter Marjory, and then to her son Donald Angus Montgomery.
