107882: 19c North Tolsta

19c North Tolsta came into existence in 1882, when 19 North Tolsta was split into three crofts following the death of Ann Campbell, widow of Norman Macdonald.

19c was given to John Macdonald’s widow Isabella Macleod and her new husband, Murdo Maciver. The croft passed to Murdo’s daughter by his first marriage, Mary Maciver.

Mary Maciver married twice, firstly Murdo Maciver and then Donald Campbell. After Mary’s death, in 1942, 19c North Tolsta passed to her nephew, Murdo Murray.

Murdo Murray sold 19c North Tolsta to John Campbell.

John Campbell had obtained 19a North Tolsta and 19b North Tolsta, from his father, so this enabled the three crofts to be recombined and to become 19 North Tolsta, once again.
