106249: 13 Backhill

This was the home of fisherman Donald MacLeod and his family from about 1884. 

It is referred to as ‘house no 36’ in Bill Lawson’s croft history of the area, but its postal address is 13 Backhill. It should not be confused with ‘house 13’ which is also in Backhill.
