105941: 22 Old South Tolsta

22 Old South Tolsta was a new croft in 1830. The first occupants were Murdo Maciver, Mary Smith and their four children. 22 Old South Tolsta passed to their son Roderick Maciver.

Roderick Maciver married Bess Maciver and the couple had three children at 22 Old South Tolsta prior to the 1851 croft relottings. In 1851 the family obtained 25 North Tolsta and the couple had a further four children there.

There were also a family of cottars at 22 Old South Tolsta: Angus Maciver, Margaret Murray and their four children. This family obtained 33 North Tolsta in the 1851 croft relottings and they had a further four children there.
