79 Lochside was built in 1928. The first occupants were Donald Macleod, Margaret Maciver and their eight children: Christina, Kenneth, Dolina, Joan, Angus Alex, Margaret Mary, Malcolm and Malcolm Iain. In due course 79 Lochside passed to Malcolm Iain.

Malcolm Iain Macleod never married and, in due course, the house was sold to the son of a lady from Lochside.
