9291: Lochs Motor Transport Company

Lochs Motor Transport was originally founded by three men from North Lochs, just after the Second World War, running a bus service from Stornoway to Ranish. Eventually the partnership broke up and Roddy D Macdonald, 19b Laxay, who had been living in New Zealand, returned to Lewis and took over the Company. He opened a garage at Cameron Terrace, Lochs and later a garage and accessories shop in Stornoway.
