STORNOWAY POORHOUSE The Lewis Combination Poorhouse was built in 1895 by James M. Thomson of Edinburgh. [Sources: Scottish Record Office, plans, RHP 30866/1‑19.]
It was located on Coulregrein Road, which is where Westview Terrace is now. Later it changed its name to Coulregrein House.
