The HMS Wren was a W Class Destroyer built by Yarrow Shipbuilders Ltd, Glasgow in 1919 for the Royal Navy.
On July 27, 1940 HMS Wren and HMS Montrose were providing anti-aircraft protection for minesweeping operatioms off Aldeburgh, Suffolk. She came under heavy and sustained dive bombing by enemy aircraft. HMS Wren sunk with the loss of 37 lives.
