121072: CS/HMS Faraday 147458

The CS Faraday was a Cable Ship built by Palmer’s Shipbuilding & Iron Co Ltd, Newcastle in 1923 for Submarine Cables Limited, London.  She was requisitioned and served in the Second World War. HMS Faraday was bombed and sunk at St Anne’s Head with the loss of 26 crew.
