The MV British Vigilance was a MotorTanker built in 1942 by Harland & Wolff for the British Tanker Co Ltd, London.

On January 3, 1943, in convoy about 900 miles north east of Barbados, the MV British Vigilance was torpedoed and drifted for five days burning before another U-boat sunk her. There were 27 lives lost.
