The SS Redbridge was a Coillier Transport Steamship laid down as SS Billiter Street and completed as SS Redbridge. The Turret deck ship was built by William Doxford & Sons Ltd, Sunderland for the Temperley Steam Shipping Co Ltd, London.
She was requisitioned by the Admiralty in the First World War and later sold and renamed SS Amerika.
