120642: SS/MFA Eleanor
The SS Eleanor was a Cargo Steamship hip built by J Ridley & Son, Tully in 1888. She was hired by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and used as a Mine Carrier.
On February 12, 1918, south west of the Isle of Wight the MFA Eleanor was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 34 of the 35 crew.
