120567: MV Shropshire (149601)/HMS Salopian (F94)

The MV Shropshire was a Passenger Vessel built by the Fairfield Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd, Govan in 1926 for the Bibby Line Ltd. She was requisitioned by the Admiralty in September 1939, renamed HMS Salopian and served in the Second World War.

On May 13, 1941, in Convoy, the HMS Salopian was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 3 lives.
