The SS Holbrook was a Cargo Steamship built by Joseph L Thompson & Sons, Sunderland in 1917 for the Century Shipping Co, London. She was sold twice and renamed SS Bredon and SS Brandon.

On December 8, 1939, on passage from Cardiff to Port Everglades, the SS Brandon was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 9 lives.
