120397: SS Cameronia (129599) / HMS Cameronia

The SS Cameronia was a Passenger/Cargo Steamship was built by D & W Henderson & Co, Glasgow in 1911 for the Anchor Line Ltd, Glasgow.

She was requisitioned as a Troopship in the First World War. On April 15, 1917 on passage from Marseilles to Egypt the HMS Cameronia was torpedoed and sunk 150 miles east of Malta with the loss of 200 lives.
