120373: HMS Hussar (J82)

HMS Hussar was a Halcyon Class Minesweeper built by John I Thorniecroft & Co, Woolston in 1933 for the Royal Navy.

On August 27, 1944  HMS Hussar was minesweeping and  was bombed by the Royal Air Force as the Officer in Charge of minesweping had neglected to report the ship was in the area. Eighty six men lost their lives and 124 were injured.
