The SS Royal Star was a Refrigerated Steam Cargo Liner built by Workman Clarke & Co Ltd, Belfast in 1918 for the British Shipping Controller.

On passage from Buenos Aires and Argiers to Malta, Taranto and Alexandria, on April 20, 1944, SS Royal Star was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of one of the crew.
