The SS Somerset was a Passenger/Cargo Steamer built by Earle’s shipbuilding & Engineering Co, Hull in 1918 for the Federal Steam Navigation Co, London.

Off West Ireland, on May 11, 1941, the SS Somerset was bombed and sunk with no loss of life.
