The SS Winga was a British Steam Cargo ship built by Waterweg Scheepsbouwmaatchappij, Schiedam in 1924.
On June 2, 1940 the SS Winga collided with a Norwegian Steamer, the Jernland, and sank 4 miles east of Hartlepool with the loss of 14 lives.
