116956: SS Kenmare

SS Kenmare was an Irish Coaster which sailed between the port of Cork, Fishguard, Dublin and Liverpool during the First World War. On 02. 03.1918, while en route from Liverpool to Cork, she was torpedoed by German U-boat 104 in the Irish Sea. Only six of thirty five crew were saved.

U-104 met its end in April 1918, when it was sunk by HMS Jessamine, with only one member of its crew of forty surviving.
