Alasdair Aonghais
Alexander (1801-1891) was the son of Angus Macdonald and Margaret Martin, 1 Keose. It was thought they came from Bernera to Pairc before moving to Laxay and then Keose. His death certificate said he was 100 but the Census over the years suggest 90.
In Lochs, in 1827, he married Margaret Smith, 5 Garyvard. Alexander and Margaret settled at 5 Garyvard and they had eight children.
By 1871 the family had moved to 10 Garyvard.
Alexander was widowed in 1885.
