23530: John Macleod
John, son of John Macleod and Marion Smith, 17 Balallan was a joiner. He married Flora Nicolson, 19 Lemreway and they lived in Lemreway before emigrating to Hampden, Quebec, Canada on the ship ss ‘Texas’ in 1873. John returned to Lewis in 1888 after Flora’s death and got married to Catherine Mackenzie, 7 Keose. They lived in Stornoway.
